Hydraulics is the heart of the NODE Cluster’s competency and a crucial part in Mechatronics expertise found in the region. Innovation and development of hydraulic products and ensuring a top level of hydraulic competency has enabled the Agder region anchor its position as a leader in the field and maintain and strengthen its competitive edge.
The NODE Hydraulic steering committee was established to ensure continuous RD&I within the field of hydraulics. The main goal has been to ensure and secure a high level of competency in the region. There is extensive cooperation between NODE companies the University of Agder within hydraulics which includes development of course plans, hosting Master’s theses, initiating RD&I projects. Ongoing projects include the establishment of a CETOP2 level and CETOP3 (BSc) level hydraulic course programs at Sørlandet Maritime School and the University of Agder, respectively.
