Frank Reichert is confirmed as Rector and Seunn Smith-Tønnessen named University Director at University of Agder.

The top two positions at the region’s leading academic institution are now replaced.

Reichert, 57, won the Rector election in May by a very close margin. After a complaint, the University Board confirmed the election result in a meeting Thursday. Reichert, currently Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, replaces Torunn Lauvdal as Rector.

Smith-Tønnessen, 49, has been the Assistant University Director at the University of Agder since 2007. She replaces Tor A. Ågedal as University Director.
