Norsafe is one partner in a new innovation project supported by Innovation Norway.

Innovation Norway has awarded funds for three R&D projects from five companies in GCE NODE.

The three projects are funded based on applications filed by GCE NODE on behalf of cluster participants, as part of a program called «Innovasjonsrammen».

A total of five GCE NODE participants are involved in the projects: Norsafe, CFD Marine, Scanmatic, National Oilwell Varco Norway and Teknova.

  • Norsafe, CFD Marine and FiReCo have partnered to develop a concept for increased security for high speed vessels. The idea is to monitor fast small ships with extensive instrumentation to obtain data for correlating criteria against operational conditions.
  • Scanmatic and Floating Power Plant have partnered to develop a concept for monitoring forces on hulls and offshore installations, and to facilitate Scanmatic’s Multi Positional System for the offshore wind market.
  • Teknova and NOV have partnered to conceptualize an industrialized fiber rope condition monitoring system for lifetime extension of fiber rope operations in a safe and normalized manner.

The next deadline for «Innovasjonsrammen» is September 15th 2018. Companies with relevant innovation project ideas are encouraged to contact Marianne Engvoll, RD&I Manager at GCE NODE.
