27 February | 08:30 - 11:30 | Kristiansand | Open for all

The societal debate surrounding the oil and gas industry has become increasingly polarized. Learn the hard facts about the industry and understand its contribution to world climate and Norwegian society.

GCE NODE and The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association has prepared a three-hour workshop for employees in member companies where the aim is to share insight, build competence and have discussions around the societal debate surrounding the oil and gas industry.

The debate concerning the future of the Norwegian oil and gas activities in a climate perspective have become increasingly polarized and the project “Det store bildet” is established to bring more voices and nuances to this debate.

Industry employees are the most valuable ambassadors, but they often have limited competence in the societal and political questions that are surrounding our industry. To build their competence, we invite employees from the industry to a three-hour workshop in Kristiansand February 27th from 08:30 to 11:30. This workshop will be held in Norwegian.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • The Norwegian societal debate
  • The impact of energy and the global energy demand
  • Technology, innovation and competence

More workshops will be announced, and workshops can also be held in English upon requests.

We urge you to nominate participants to the workshop. We will need names and e-mail addresses to attendees and more information will be shared directly with the participants.

REGISTRATION: There will be room for approximately 30 participants, and we would like to stimulate cross-industry participation. To register, send an e-mail to Alis Helene Tefre, Project Manager at The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association.
