Who: EIC Accelerator is a scheme reserved for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The scheme is open to all industries, but the innovation must contribute to solving one or more of the UN’s sustainability goals. Part of the EIC Accelerator’s budget is allocated to projects in digitization, health and the environment.
What: The scheme provides the opportunity to apply for 0.5 – 2.5 Million euros (70% of total costs) in grants, as well as equity financing of up to 15 million euros scaling and growth of groundbreaking innovations with high growth potential. The innovation must already be validated in a relevant (industrial) environment and the goal is commercialization within 1-2 years. Activities in the project can include, for example, prototype development, testing, demonstration, full-scale product validation, and market replication.
