In June UiB, UiS, UiA and NORCE will offer a 4-day introductory course in offshore wind development aimed at industry and public sector professionals with or without prior knowledge.

June 5-8.  Applicants affiliated with partners in the ImpactWind project will be given priority.

The summer school will be held in the innovation park at Ullandhaug in Stavanger.

The summer school will consist of 4 full days encompassing 24 teaching hours, company visit and work on an interdisciplinary group project. The group project experience will lead the participants through an offshore wind project life cycle, from the concession process and wind farm site selection to technical aspects and environmental and societal considerations.

The summer school will cover the main aspects of offshore wind development and will be taught by some of the most prominent academics in the respective fields:

  • Wind resources
  • Co-existence
  • Offshore Wind Technology
  • Finance and law
