Day 1 (March 19):
A full day of exciting and inspiring presentations by leading researchers and industry experts, organized by the Intelligent Mechatronics research group (iTron) at the University of Agder, with Kjetil Draugedalen as conferencier.
Highlights include keynotes on interpretable and energy-efficient AI for industrial applications from CAIR, the convergence of IT and OT from Peter Kurhajec (MTS), how AI is being integrated across the full automation stack from Beckhoff, and how software-defined automation is reshaping industry from Siemens.
Industry pioneers from NOV, Hive Autonomy, AMV, MotionTech, Step Solutions, and OTee will share real-world experiences in pushing the boundaries of intelligent automation.
The day concludes with a panel debate, networking, and seminar dinner at campus (17:00). Evening pub quiz hosted by the Norwegian Society of Mechatronics (NSOM) at Apotekergaarden in downtown Grimstad (from 20:00)!
Day 2 (March 20):
Three in-depth workshops: Jakob Sagatowski, the popular software influencer and YouTube creator known for his expertise in industrial automation programming, on test-driven development. Beckhoff on AI-powered machine vision for quality control. Siemens on DevOps for automation engineering.
Explore cutting-edge developments alongside leading experts from academia and industry. Expected participants: 100+.
The seminar is particularly relevant for software and hardware engineers, as well as managers, sales professionals, consultants, researchers, and students interested in bridging hardware and software engineering for intelligent industrial control systems with AI, autonomy, and mechatronics.
