Norwegian Energy Partners, in cooperation with GCE Node and Maritimt Forum Agder, invite you to explore the offshore wind market and future projects.

Norwegian Energy Partners is launching its Third Offshore Wind Market report in late August and is inviting you to explore opportunities in the growing offshore wind industry with us.

Over the last two decades offshore wind has grown to become a utility scale source of electricity generation. By the end of 2018, 18.3GW of capacity had been installed globally and a further 3.5GW is currently under construction.

The majority of these wind farms are in Europe, with the North Sea in particular having an installed capacity of 12GW across more than 60 wind farms and a pipeline of more projects over the coming years. About 3,600 offshore wind turbines and more than 60 offshore substations have been installed only in Europe since the first offshore wind employment in 1991 in Vindby, Denmark.

Capital and operational expenditure is forecast to grow by 15-20% pa to around EUR 550 billion over the next ten years. A market approaching EUR 55 billion pa. While the European market, with more than 90% of current offshore wind deployment, is the cradle of the industry, the industry is very rapidly growing into other regions of the world.

Offshore wind is a proven technology and cost is rapidly reduced to approach a pure commercial stage. The combination of global growth and a desire to reduce costs makes offshore wind hugely appealing for an innovative Norwegian supply chain with its strong offshore and maritime expertise.

Are you interested in the offshore wind opportunities and want to discuss your strategic approach?

GCE NODE and Maritimt Forum wish to invite you to our offshore wind expert workshop in Arendal with our global offshore wind expert team Jon Dustad and David S. Ottesen.

The workshop will include a 60 minute presentation of the 2019 Offshore Wind Market report highlighting key areas where Norwegian businesses including those engaged in the oil and gas industry can find opportunities in this exciting sector. CSUB‘ s Jan Inge Brattekås will give a presentation about their composites solutions and experience with the offshore wind market, still leaving ample time to discuss.

Venue: MacGregor Norway, Kystveien 18, Arendal

Light breakfast will be served from 08:00
