Taiwan is a fast growing and most available offshore wind market in Asia. According to European Economic and Trade Office(EETO), European companies invest €1.7 billion in Taiwan’s offshore wind market in 2020.
Taiwan Port Affairs and Port Service(TIPC), a state-owned enterprise and a leader in Taiwan’s tugboat industry, is actively developing Taichung Port to the major offshore wind port with facilities to meet Taiwan’s offshore wind farm construction, operation, maintenance, and transportation needs. Lately, TIPC has also procured O&M vessels, design and construction of floating wharf, port logistics management systems, offshore wind operator training and certification services from international vendors. TIPC is centrally placed in the development of the Taiwanese offshore wind industry and is an interesting discussion partner if you want to reach the O&M and port segments of the emerging Taiwanese offshore wind industry.
