With around 1.500 WTGs and 7,5 GW installed capacity, Germany is a leading market for offshore wind.

Major projects of 2.5 GW are preparing for offshore construction activities and investment decisions (i.e. Iberdrola’s Baltic Hub, Parkwind’s Arcadis Ost, Ørsted’s Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3, as well as RWE Innogy’s Kaskasi) to reach an expected installed capacity of 10 GW in 2024 with ca 11 bn EUR investments expected during the next 4 years. New lease areas have been identified for auctions to secure further expected growth to 20 GW installed by 2030 and 30-35 GW by 2035.

In a first of a small series of meetings planned, Andreas Wagner, Managing Director of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation and Holger Matthiesen, Head of Development Offshore Wind Scandinavia and Baltics at RWE International will discuss the current market situation. We are planning to offer B2B meetings with RWE for NORWEP Partners.
