Hannås is Chairman of the Board of Directors of MIL and Vice-Rector for External Relations and Innovation at the University of Agder.
Following the resignation of Bernt Inge Øhrn, the MIL board has initiated the process of recruiting a new CEO for the facility located in Grimstad.

As MIL enters a slightly new phase, we are looking for someone with solid experience in business development, proven commercial capabilities and extensive technological expertise,” says Hannås.
MIL is owned by the University of Agder and the Norwegian Research Centre (NORCE), but is essentially an instrument for the development of industry.
“Our new CEO should have a clear view of how this ownership can be used to MIL’s advantage. Collaborative capabilities will, of course, be key. MIL’s overall responsibility is to strengthen our customers’ competitiveness and position through innovation services and qualification of new technologies,” says Hannås.
She emphasizes that mechatronics is highly relevant for many industries. This is well-demonstrated by the variety of activities which take place at MIL.
“MIL is well positioned both regionally and nationally. These are indeed exciting times for MIL and its coming CEO,” says Hannås.
