Agder H2 Network establishes a network for hydrogen producers in Agder.

“Agder is at the forefront of hydrogen production. Nikkelverk has produced hydrogen for more than 50 years, Greenstat is constructing a new hydrogen factory in Kristiansand, and Å Energi is currently building their pilot facility at Pikerfoss. We find it important to bring the producers together,” says Tanja Erichsen, Project Manager of the Agder H2 Network.

In addition to Nikkelverk, Greenstat and Å Energi, future regional producers of hydrogen include Kvina Energy Park, North Ammonia, and Hydepoint.

The idea is to create an arena where producers can share information and experiences, where they can talk openly about challenges and solutions they have found for common problems. The network can also give the producers a joint voice in a national setting.

“The success of hydrogen producers is vital to the success of the entire hydrogen value chain. Agder H2 Network will work actively to support our producers and make sure that they are heard by politicians, legislators and the private sector,” says Erichsen.

Kristin Dale, Head of Industrial Development at Å Energy, welcomes the hydrogen producer network.

“We are pleased to form a stronger connection to other hydrogen producers in our region. We believe something good will come from cooperating and sharing experiences with other earlymovers in a relatively new market,” says Dale.

“We are genuinely rooting for each other, as we all strive to establish a hydrogen value chain and market,” says Dale.
