Anne-Grete Ellingsen (GCE NODE), Erik Tønnesen (Skagerak Maturo), Kamilla Sharma (Innoventus Sør) and Birger Eckhoff (Connect Norway) co-hosted the conference.

As first edition was fully booked, the investor and innovation conference in Grimstad has already been made in to an annual event.

More than 100 people attended Tuesday’ conference at the Creative Meeting Room in Technology Park close to the University of Agder’s Grimstad campus. An additional 40 were turned away.

“There is clearly an interest and a need for a conference that focuses on investments and innovation. Next year we will include speed dating between entrepreneurs and investors”, says Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO at GCE NODE.

GCE NODE, Skagerak Maturo, Connect Norway and Innoventus Sør co-hosted this year’s conference in association with Sparebanken Sør, JB Ugland and Agderposten.

One of the conference headliners was Silvija Seres, associate partner at TechnoRocks. She talked about the digitalization of everything, including humans.

“Data and computing power are the new natural resources. We will see the emergence of cyber-physical systems. The digital will influence everything and challenge who we are, intertwining the physical and the digital. We already have implanted microchips, which assist nearly deaf and nearly blind people so that they can hear and see. I am sure we will see more of this in years to come”, said Seres.
