“A survey shows that participants are, in general, very pleased with having been a part of the stand and the official Agder program at ONS”, says Ann Marchioro, Project Manager for ONS at GCE NODE.
Out of a potential 5 points, the stand scored 4.4 points on location and design. GCE NODE administration’s service level scored a perfect 5.0.
Areas with room for improvement include lunch, which scored high on quality, but lower on quantity, and the stand’s solution for larger presentations.

The joint stand hosted GCE NODE, the University of Agder and 8 participating NODE-companies: Air Products, Castor Drilling Solution, Iris, Nymo, Pentagon, Sevan Marine, Telenor Maritime and Tratec.
“Based on interest and feedback we are already planning a new joint NODE stand at ONS 2018”, says Marchioro.
MORE THAN A STAND
GCE NODE also coordinated an official program for the Agder delegation to ONS. 13 mayors, deputy mayors and senior bureaucrats from Arendal, Grimstad, Mandal, Farsund, Lyngdal and Kvinesdal municipalities, in addition to Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder counties, hopped on a NODE bus to Stavanger.
“For us, as local politicians, it is important to participate at ONS. It gives us a better understanding of what our companies do, how we can contribute to their success and the challenges they face today”, says Deputy Mayor Terje Eikin in Arendal.
The Agder program included visits to the majority of NODE companies at ONS and an evening reception at Listerteltet in downtown Stavanger.
