The delegation includes experts on energy, maritime operations, petroleum and advanced materials.
“We will present opportunities and display the tools we have to help companies develop good ideas. Furthermore, we will provide them with access to counselors who can assist them, says Siren M. Neset, Regional Manager for The Research Council of Norway (RCN) in Agder.
Never before has RCN made such a large group of experts available for companies and entrepreneurs with great ideas. Five experts from seven different research programs will be are present when the RCN and GCE NODE host an innovation seminar on February 9. Counselors from Innovation Norway and VRI Agder will also participate.
“This is a pilot that has drawn attention all the way up to the divisional management in RCN. For businesses, it is a unique opportunity to meet a large group of advisors in one place”, says Neset.
RCN will walk participants through existing possibilities in various programs. Afterwards, counselors will take individual meetings with companies and entrepreneurs. The goal is to help make ideas eligible for support.
“This is an opportunity not to be missed. We hope to see a large number of companies and entrepreneurs at the event. Companies should realize that they have rights to funding from certain programs, including SkatteFUNN. It would be a shame if these rights were not explored and these opportunities not grasped”, says Neset.
She encourages companies to send several representatives, and not necessarily the CEO, to the event.
“Project developers may benefit most from participating. Feel free to bring a co-worker!” says Neset.
Project funding from RCN may range from hundreds of thousands to several million NOK, depending on the project and the program it fits into. National Oilwell Varco Norway recently received MNOK 15 for the project ‘Remote drill floor operation’.
The seminar with RCN is divided into two sessions. The first session will take place at Scandic Hotel Dyreparken on February 9, while the second session will take place at Strand Hotel Fevik on April 28.
