He met with more than 100 representatives of a number of oil and gas related companies from Agder, at a networking event in Houston the night before the opening of OTC.
Mebane addressed the market situation and provided optimism when he said: “Here in Texas we have an expression: ‘It’s time to cowboy up!’ It means it is time to come together and work hard to push through the tough times. We have done it before, and we will do it again”, said Mebane.
To share the Texan spirit with the visiting Norwegians, Mebane brought gifts: Classic Texan hats for Harald Furre, Mayor of Kristiansand, Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE and Morten Paulsen, Consul General at the Norwegian Consulate in Houston.
