Thore Jarle Sørensen is project manager for offshore wind at GCE NODE.

10 to 15 companies will be attending a kick-off for a new GCE NODE initiative within offshore wind in October.

“We aim to establish a NODE network for offshore wind and define offshore wind projects in which two of more companies can cooperate. We will also find funding instruments available for these projects”, says project manager Thore Jarle Sørensen at GCE NODE.

Offshore wind is a fast growing market with new business opportunities relevant for offshore tech companies.

“Some NODE companies have already entered the offshore wind market. Others are looking for opportunities. The new NODE network aims to be a catalyst to generate more or new business for NODE participants”, says Sørensen.

Director Jon Dugstad at INTPOW, a networking organization founded to promote cooperation between Norwegian and foreign players in the renewable energy industry, will give a talk on opportunities and challenges in offshore wind.

The workshop will be held on October 9th in Kristiansand. To participate, please contact Thore Jarle Sørensen (thore@gcenode.no) or RD&I manager Marit Dolmen (marit@gcenode.no).
