“I am very much looking forward to building the organization further,” says Klausen. Since the inception of the competence center, Klausen has acted as interim CEO.
“Through the formal employment of Rune Klausen as CEO, we ensure continuity in the work as we enter a phase in which the organization is being built and developed. Rune has a solid background and experience, and is the right man in the right place,” says Frank Emil Moen, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The competence center is to be a reliable source of information and a link between actors in the offshore wind industry, the general public, and national authorities.
“Going forward it will be important to keep up the tempo in the Norwegian offshore wind industry, and to have a clear vision of how to succeed with our national offshore wind ambition,” says Klausen.
He will head an organization which currently has seven full-time employees and is located in Kristiansand.
