The Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, congratulated Øystein Sunde Pedersen, CEO of Global Ocean Technology with the offshore wind MoU with Equinor and partners.

50 years after the first ONS event in Stavanger, organizers look forward to welcoming more than 60,000 people from close to 100 countries.

“ONS has a strong position as one of the most important international venues for the energy sector. We are looking forward to a hectic and rewarding conference and exhibition,” says Ann Marchioro, Project Manager at GCE NODE.

ONS opens Monday morning.

For the seventh time, GCE NODE organizes a joint pavilion at ONS. 13 small and medium-sized cluster companies have secured a spot. Another 24 GCE NODE participants have their own stand at ONS.

“I don’t think we have ever seen more NODE companies at ONS. This is partly due to the expansion of the offshore energy sector to include offshore wind. However, the oil and gas industry is still far more important than renewables for the Agder companies, and also for the vast majority of exhibitors and attendees at ONS,” says Marchioro.

Companies at the GCE NODE joint pavilion will take the stage during the technical sessions at the pavilion Monday through Wednesday. The technical sessions will also host keynote speakers. Cluster companies and guests are invited to attend the technical sessions and the informal afternoon receptions.

“The GCE NODE joint pavilion is one of the most visited stands at ONS. It serves as a meeting place for the entire Agder supplier industry and its networks. Please feel free to stop by,” says Marchioro.

A delegation comprising leading Agder politicians and public business managers will also attend ONS. The delegation will meet most of the NODE companies present at the event.
