The offshore wind market has definitely come to stay, and its high time to seize the opportunities available.
There is a lot of exciting development happening in offshore wind these days! The industry, academia, and research institutes are working hard on new technology and solutions to develop and strengthen the Norwegian offshore wind sector, positioning Norway as a global supplier.
Enova has allocated significant support to offshore wind projects, including NOK 336 million to GE Vernova, NOK 1.2 billion to Wind Catching Systems, and NOK 2 billion to GoliatVind. Fred Olsen 1848 has been granted NOK 2.25 million from the Research Council of Norway for their Brunel project. With exception of GoliatVind, these companies will be present at Science Meets Industry – Offshore Wind 2025!
Sørlige Nordsjø II is well underway, and Hywind Tampen has gained valuable experience from the first 18 months of operation. Status for these projects will be presented by Parkwind and Equinor respectively.
