MacGregor Norway will deliver four cranes for a diving support vessel.

– This shows that there is activity in the subsea market, and that we can win orders regardless of where the ship is being built; in western Norway, in China or elsewhere in the world, says CEO of MacGregor Norway, Tom Harald Svennevig, to the newspaper Fædrelandsvennen.

The four offshore cranes are contracted by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co Ltd in China. All four cranes are to be mounted on a 145-meter diving vessel which the shipyard is building for the British operator Sealion Shipping.

The cranes will be delivered in the third quarter of 2016. When the ship is completed in early 2017, it will be able to support operations in the oil and gas sector worldwide, also in ultra deep waters.
