A new tower for free fall testing of Norsafe lifeboats is soon to open in Årsnes.

“The tower serves two functions; training of offshore personnel and testing of lifeboats. We are already fully booked the next three months”, says Aleksander Skaala at Norsafe.

At 60 meters, the tower is the tallest in the North Sea region. Norsafe customers from all over the world are expected to come to Årsnes to participate in training programs and to oversee testing of new lifeboats.

“We are pleased to open the facility. It provides us an opportunity to test equipment when ever we want to”, says Skaala.
