GCE NODE’s joint stand at OTC 2018.

“OTC 2018 has been a great success,” says Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE.

“Feedback from the participating companies, from the mayors and other members of the public sector that travelled with us, and from visitors at our stand, all point in the same direction: OTC exceeded expectations,” says Ellingsen.

More than 30 GCE NODE companies attended the 50thedition of Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. The delegation from Agder also included the mayors of Kristiansand and Arendal, the deputy county mayors from Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder, and several representatives from the University of Agder and research institute Norce.

“Arendal has a number of global companies that operate in a global market. Thus, it is important for me to attend a premiere global arena, such as OTC” says Robert Nordli, Mayor of Arendal.

Both Nordli and Harald Furre, Mayor of Kristiansand, sensed a mood of optimism at this year’s conference.

«Expectations are higher than in recent years. That is good news for an industry that is important to Kristiansand and the Agder region,” says Furre.
