“Compared to all the things you have going for yourselves, you don’t talk much about it. But you should,” says Solberg.
She says Agder has a high level of expertise in the business sector and a particularly good cooperation between businesses and academia.
“You should talk more about what you are good at,” said Solberg at the event “Sørlandet i Oslo” (Agder region in Oslo), which saw 150 people gather in the Norwegian capital Thursday evening. A whole region traveled to Oslo to gain national attention. In the delegation were people from the business sector, politics, the public sector and academia.

During the two hour event, success stories were presented from a strong global industry of suppliers to the oil and gas and maritime sectors, from a forward-looking process industry, and from an innovative and successful tourism sector.
Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE, gave a presentation of the cluster, while CEO Kim Steinsland at Scanmatic presented his company.
“This event offers knowledge and awareness of investment and business opportunities in the region”, says Mayor of Kristiansand, Harald Furre.
