The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) opens Monday, but the delegation from Agder is already in Houston for a pre-conference program.

Friday, more than 50 people, many of them from the Agder region, met for a full day seminar in Norway House.

Speakers included – among others – President and CEO Walter Ulrich of Houston Technology Forum, named by Forbes as one of “Ten Technology Incubators Changing the World”, Stephen R. Igo, Executive Director of the Pumps & Pipes Program – a unique Houston based initiative focused on innovation through collaboration amongst Houston’s Energy, Medicine and Aerospace Industries – and Dr. Helge Hove Haldorsen, Director General Statoil Mexico.

Presentations from the Agder delegation were made by County Mayor Terje Damman (Vest-Agder), Øyvind Lyngen Laderud and Kenneth Andresen from Kristiansand Municipality, Mayor of Kristiansand Arvid Grundekjøn and Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE.

The pre-conference program continues through the weekend.
