Oil companies around the world have done P&A for many years, but still look for improved technologies and solutions to reduce cost and rig time (vessel time).
“Input from NODE companies and oil service providers is valuable”, said both Øystein Huglen from ConocoPhillips Norway and Steinar Strøm from Statoil.
At the workshop in Kristiansand, GCE NODE consultant Mads Grinrød presented the report P&A Business Opportunities. Gustav Westerlund Dunsæd at the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway followed this up with a session about rules and regulation surrounding P&A.
