Aust-Agder County Mayor Tellef Inge Mørland and Arendal Mayor Robert Cornel Nordli are in Houston to support the suppliers to the oil and gas industry.

”We are here to see how we can contribute to minimizing the consequences of the downturn for what is perhaps the most important industry in our region”, says Aust-Agder County Mayor Tellef Inge Mørland.

For a short week, Mørland and Arendal Mayor Robert Cornel Nordli are among more than 100,000 visitors at OTC, the world’s largest oil and gas convention, where approximately 35 NODE-companies are represented.

”It is important to be here in Houston to show support for the industry and the many companies that belong to it. Oil and gas companies are important to the Agder region and thus also important to Arendal”, says Mayor Nordli.

CEO Høye G. Høyesen at MacGregor in Arendal appreciates the good dialogue between the industry and the county and municipality.

”I am glad to see the mayor and county mayor in Houston, especially at this time. It is also valuable for them to hear from the global leaders in Houston just how good we really are at what we do. We are in fact among the world’s best”, says Høyesen.
