Top executives from National Oilwell Varco, MHWirth and Cameron were among the attendees at GCE NODE’s Strategy Meeting 2017.

For 24 hours, executives from more than 30 NODE companies discussed the outlook for the industry, and how GCE NODE as a cluster should work to assist the industry in the Agder region.

New business models, innovation, sustainability, Mechatronics Innovation Lab and how to capitalize on new technology – and in particular the digital transformation that the industry is currently undergoing – were among the themes discussed.

Ideas and input from the Strategy Meeting will be presented to the GCE NODE Board.

“It is vital to receive this kind of feedback from participating companies. Based on a similar meeting in 2013, GCE NODE’s current strategy was formed. It has proven to be a strategy well suited for navigating in a changing landscape. It also served as the basis for the application that gave NODE its status as a Global Center of Expertise,” says Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE.
