From the debate in Arendal Wednesday (left-right): Ole Petter Ottersen (Rector, University of Oslo), Anne-Grete Ellingsen (CEO, GCE NODE) and Lise Lyngsnes Randeberg (President, Tekna).

”A close cooperation between the industry and the university has produced good results for the Agder region”, says Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO at GCE NODE.

In a debate in Arendal Wednesday, Ellingsen described the University of Agder as an important and active part of the cluster.

“There is a beneficial exchange of knowledge and labor. Industry engineers hold part-time positions at the university, and professors and other university staff hold similar positions in the industry”, said Ellingsen.

The close relationship has resulted in a world-leading mechatronics program at bachelor, master and phd level.

“This is recognized by large global corporations, which come to Grimstad to work with the university”, said Ellingsen.
