Also participating in parts of the meeting: Jimmy Ankargren (Engineering Director, Eastern Hemisphere) and Siren Frigstad (Senior Manager Mechanical Engineering, Eastern Hemisphere).

NOV is the largest participating company in the GCE NODE cluster. The Norwegian arm of the global supplier to oil and gas and other industries, has approximately 800 employees in Kristiansand.

Several NOV executives took the time to meet Knut Mjåland, CEO of GCE NODE, to provide insight into current business and future plans, and how these relate to being part of GCE NODE.

“It is important for us to be close to all our participating companies and listen to their needs. We are here for them. Having an opportunity to sit down with the management team of NOV was very useful. We are shaping GCE NODE 5.0 based on today’s challenges in the industry, so I look forward to working closely with NOV representatives on various topics,” says Mjåland.

He has been on the road the last weeks to meet with several cluster companies, and he will continue to do so in the coming weeks.

“The action plan for 2030 is in the making, so we need feedback from the cluster companies to identify the right initiatives,” says Mjåland.
