Inspired by a huge turnout for the first ever Global Outlook Norway, organizers are determined to repeat next year.

More than 350 people attended Global Outlook Norway in Arendal last August. The first edition of the conference was initiated by the three Norwegian business clusters GCE NODE, Arena Eyde and Maritimt Forum, and was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– We are keen on doing this again next year. Our goal is to establish Global Outlook Norway as an important arena for discussing key global challenges and how they influence business, says Anne-Grete Ellingsen, CEO of GCE NODE.

Top international speakers, such as Economic Editor for The Economist, Zanny Minton Beddoes, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Børge Brende, and Director of the international think tank Re-Define, Sony Kapoor, took the stage in Arendal.

Global Outlook Norway was held in conjunction with Arendalsuka, a well-known, week-long political and societal debate oriented event. It was followed by The NODE Conference, arranged by NODE and Norwegian Oil & Gas. This conference will also be repeated next year, but probably as a one-day event.
