Future Offshore Wind is a joint initiative in Agder that will help Norway to become a leader in offshore wind. The initiative is based on what characterizes our region – good collaboration and competence sharing across industries and sectors, and with strong and recognized industry clusters. Collaboration is a prerequisite for success in offshore wind, both locally, nationally and internationally.
Agder County Council, Kristiansand Municipality, Lindesnes Municipality, Lyngdal Municipality, Farsund Municipality, GCE NODE, EYDE Cluster, Å Energi, NHO Agder, the Agder Business Alliance and the University of Agder (UiA) stand behind Future Offshore Wind, which is based on four pillars:
- National competence center for offshore wind in Kristiansand.
- Industrial centers in Lindesnes and Lyngdal for production and assembly.
- Operations centers in Farsund, Lindesnes and Kristiansand for operations, maintenance and emergency preparedness.
- The world-leading supplier industry in Agder for offshore technology and expertise.
