Future Offshore Wind is a regional collaboration project for offshore wind in Agder. The purpose is to work together as a region to succeed in establishing offshore wind power in Agder.

Future Offshore Wind is a joint initiative in Agder that will help Norway to become a leader in offshore wind. The initiative is based on what characterizes our region – good collaboration and competence sharing across industries and sectors, and with strong and recognized industry clusters. Collaboration is a prerequisite for success in offshore wind, both locally, nationally and internationally.

Agder County Council, Kristiansand Municipality, Lindesnes Municipality, Lyngdal Municipality, Farsund Municipality, GCE NODE, EYDE Cluster, Å Energi, NHO Agder, the Agder Business Alliance and the University of Agder (UiA) stand behind Future Offshore Wind, which is based on four pillars:

  • National competence center for offshore wind in Kristiansand.
  • Industrial centers in Lindesnes and Lyngdal for production and assembly.
  • Operations centers in Farsund, Lindesnes and Kristiansand for operations, maintenance and emergency preparedness.
  • The world-leading supplier industry in Agder for offshore technology and expertise.
