By targeting the scientific understanding of well barrier performance, the centre paves the way for safe and cost-effective solutions aligned to regulations for plugging & abandonment of petroleum wells, operation of wells for CO2-storage, geothermal well operation and the subsurface disposal of nuclear waste.
