Entrepreneurship is at the heart of Hauge and Otechos. Spinoffs are plentiful and successful from the serial entrepreneur east in Agder. One spinoff, Green Transition Holding, is listed at the OTC marketplace in Oslo and valued at more than NOK 500 million.
Established in 2012, Otechos brands itself as a world-class provider of process technology with proven technology and a strong track-record.
“Our mission is to become the market leader within energy efficient technology for industrial applications, being the natural choice for manufacturers seeking green environmental solutions,” says Hauge.
Its two largest products are pumps and compressors. The Wet Gas Compressor holds a groundbreaking compressor technology, offering a lubricant free process, no valves and energy efficiency. The compressor is funded and supported by Innovation Norway and EU Horizon 2020.
“Compressors of all types represent about 17 percent of energy use in developed countries. Reducing the energy needed for compressors to operate is highly important, and our solution offers 65 percent reduction,” says Hauge.
