Eager to learn, a delegation of 40 Norwegians – many of them from the Agder region – visited the operations and maintenance base for Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm.
Agder suppliers turned out in force to present themselves to the Equinor-led consortium competing for a license to operate wind farms at Sørlige Nordsjø II.
When customers demand documentation of their suppliers’ impact on the world, it provides an opportunity for those who do things right and can report well.
“Finally, we are off to the races! This is an important day for the Norwegian offshore wind industry,” says Rune Klausen, Project Manager at GCE NODE and Fremtidens Havvind.
By announcing the first competitions for offshore wind areas, the Norwegian government takes a big step towards its ambition of allocating areas for 30,000 MW offshore wind by 2040.
