MarTERA, a new EU public private partnership initiative offers about 30 million Euro in funding for collaborative research projects in maritime and marine technologies.
“We should not fool ourselves into thinking that the oil and gas industry has all the best ideas. We need to study and learn from other industries,” said Hege Kverneland.
“We have available human resources that know how to put technology to work. Kristiansand is fertile ground for investment,” says Harald Furre, Mayor of Kristiansand.
Prime Minister Erna Solberg says the future is ‘green, smart and innovative’, and that oil and gas will be very important for Norway for decades to come.
